Solar String Transition/Combiner Boxes

The RU-1-LP and RU-2-LP are low profile residential solar junction boxes used with an array of solar photovoltaic panels. These boxes enable strings to transition to a single conduit. The RU-1-LP is an AC model which will transition up to two microinverter strings, and the RU-2-LP will transition and/or combine one to four DC strings. They are rated NEMA 4X and are made of VALOX™ polycarbonate which has a 20 year usable outdoor life. Labor costs will be reduced when using these boxes because they simplify installation and commissioning, and overall cable and wire BOS costs will decrease because of the switch to standard building wire. These enclosures are mountable directly underneath the pv array using the included mounting brackets but, if desired, they can be mounted adjacent to the array by using racking system accessories.
